Reviving America's Values (CRAVE) 859.219.1222 or 859.619.2811
WASHINGTON, D.C.; August 5, 2009 -- Don
Swarthout, President of Christians Reviving America's Values,
CRAVE, releases the following and is available for comment:
Here is an important question we should ask our Senators and Congressmen
about the proposed Health Care bill; "Will our Senators and
Congressmen all be on the same health care plan which they are
so anxious for us to have?" The answer to this question is,
"No."
Instead our elected officials will keep the cushy health care
We The People provide for them... while they sell us down the
river. Here are some other questions Don Swarthout, President
of Christians Reviving America's Values, CRAVE, believes we should
ask our Senators and our Congressmen.
Swarthout asked, "How can we expect a government which cannot
successfully run a Clunkers Program to be responsible for running
1/6 of our economy? How can we expect a government, which has
stolen funds from our Social Security Program, to honestly run
a Health Care Program? How can we expect the government to successfully
run a Health Care Program that has already proven they are incapable
of successfully running a Medicaid or Medicare Program?"
Swarthout has a couple of suggestions for our elected officials
in Washington DC. Swarthout said, "How about we cut the salaries
in half of these people whom we elected to represent us? We should
also "freeze" their salaries and over the next 10 years
we would save $470,000,000 dollars. Besides, our elected officials
are not really worth what we pay them when they don't even take
time to read a bill before they vote on it."
Swarthout continued, "I suggest we put our elected officials
in Washington DC on the same Health Care program they are proposing
for us which would save a big chunk of change. The extra money
would all go toward paying down our debt which we have allowed
our Congressmen to run up."
"I also demand that our Congressmen forget about the Health
Care Program they are planning to vote into existence for all
of us...without reading the bill. We do not want a single payer
government run Health Care Program anyhow."
"It really does not matter whether you are a Democrat or
Republican. America must make their voices heard. Maybe if we
do not re-elect any of our incumbents until they learn to live
a fiscally frugal lifestyle, then maybe they will hear us. I suggest
you go to a Town Meeting while your Senator or Congressman is
on vacation in your area. Tell them exactly what you think,"
Swarthout said.
